Statement of Faith

The Trinity

  • We believe that God, as revealed by His Holy Scriptures, is One God who exists eternally in Three Persons.
  • God the Father — Foremost and preeminent in Creation, eternally existing and preceding all else. (Gen 1:1)
    • Has delegated all authority to the Son, understanding that He who delegated remains above. (1 Cor 15:27)
  • God the Son — Begotten of the Father from the Beginning, eternally existing. (John 1:1-2, Heb 1:5, 5:5)
    • Co-existing with and perfectly one with the Father, having all aspects of God in person and authority, while also submitting to the divine order established by the Father and submitting to the Father in all things. (Matt 28:18, John 8:29)
    • Is a unique Person, separate of the Father, while also being perfectly one with the Father, always in precise agreement. (John 17:18-24, 10:30, 14:10-11)
    • Understanding that this is a miraculous and divine arrangement, unexplainable to man, yet not being other than the perfect truth as revealed by God Himself.
  • God the Spirit — Eternally existing in, within and with the Father and the Son. (Gen 1:2; 16:13)
    • Inhabits the whole of creation, and specifically joins with every believer in Jesus Christ upon salvation through a profession of faith in Jesus Christ, creating in each a new creature, also becoming perfectly one with God and every other believer. (Eph 2:18, 4:4, 1:13; 1 Cor 6:17, Acts 2:38, 2 Cor 1:22)
    • We understand that this is all again uniquely unexplainable in human terms of understanding and accept the revealed truth by faith and through the ministry of teaching of the Holy Spirit.
    • Is a unique Person, separate of the Father and the Son, while also being perfectly one with both the Father and the Son, always in precise agreement and submission to both, the Father above the Son. (1 Cor 12:11, John 16:13)
    • He is the Teacher, Helper, Comforter and daily leads each and every Christian, having first sealed them at the moment of salvation, imparting to each spiritual gifts of His choosing and directing their steps according to the will of the Father and the Son. (Rom 8:14, Gal 5:18, Rom 8:26-28)

Man

  • Made for joy, fellowship and eternal relationship with God, created in His image and likeness, having in Him manifestations, appointing and anointing of God Himself to exercise as Him in the earth. (Rev 4:11, Gen 1:26-28)
    • Man has self-will and self-desire. (Gen 2:19, 23; 3:6)
    • Man has senses and abilities as God does, and in so exercising them he exercises the authority of God on the earth, as given to man at the beginning of Creation and forever his so long as the earth exists. (Gen 1:26, 28)
      • Mouth to speak
      • Eyes to see
      • Heart to believe and discern
      • Mind to imagine and make judgment
  • Fallen in sin through Eve and Adam in the garden, thus having subjected their inherent and innate authority to the devil. (Gen 3:6, Rom 6:16, 23; Heb 2:14-15)
  • Able to be restored to sinlessness by faith in Jesus Christ, professing with the mouth that He is Lord, believing in the heart that He was raised from the dead. (Rom 10:9)
  • Is created by God with a unique, personal soul, eternal in nature.
    • Each man will have to give an answer for that soul, life and all it entails for good and for evil. (Rom 14:12, Rev 20:12)
    • The outcome of such will either be, at the end of this age: (Rev 20:15)
      • Life eternal with God in heaven and upon a new earth
      • Eternal suffering in hell as punishment for sin
  • There is only one solution for each individual man for his state of sin, and that is accepting God’s gift of His own Son’s righteousness by faith, free and simply received.
    • It is obtained by faith and by denying one’s own trust in self, thus denying self and denying one’s own life; accepting in its place what is exceedingly better: Joint life with God and all saints forever. (Matt 10:39, Luke 17:33)
    • Is made a new creation upon faith in Christ. (2 Cor 5:17)
  • Man has been made male and female, and has placed a divine order of blessing upon them. (Eph 5:22-28)
    • We believe that only in submission to God’s purposeful order do we attain the fullness of God’s blessings, and as such will both teach and operate in submission ourselves.
    • We believe that there is a spiritual covering that takes place and is necessary for protection, peace and prospering. (Numbers Ch. 30)
    • We believe that all those who believe and trust in God, operate in such obedience will enter into a joy greater than worldly wisdom and cultural norms can offer. (1 John 1:3-4, John 15:11)
    • There is no accepting that any man or woman should have same sex relations. We do not approve nor permit such relationships to be practiced by those who serve in the ministry. (Romans 1:24-27)
      • Even as we will gladly love and minister to those in such relationships, as we would seek and serve any who are in any type of sin. (Jude 1:22-23)

Bible

  • God’s means for communicating to man on the earth His one and only Perfect Truth. (Exo 24:12, 2 Tim 3:16-17)
  • Containing the inerrant Word of God, the only truth not perverted by sin and deceit of the enemy. (2 Pet 1:19-21, Psalm 119:160)
  • This is the ‘instruction manual’ for life, given of God and made available to man; and in man’s free will he can either choose to believe, agree and obey; or not. (Ecc 12:13)
  • The only true and express authority as given by God on the earth for all man, to which we hold ourselves subject to in fear. (2 Pet 1:19-21, 2 Cor 7:1, Phil 2:12-14)
  • Containing all communication of God to man, for instruction, for warning, correction and rebuke; to which we will give an answer. (2 Tim 3:16-17, John 9:41, Matt 12:36-37)
    • This does not preclude God’s continuing to speak with His saints, but understanding He will never contradict His own Word as given through His prophets. (John 10:27, John 16:13, Luke 12:12)
  • Only able to be understood by the revelation which comes by the Spirit of God, without which the Bible is as foolishness. (1 Cor 2:12-14, 1 Cor 1:18)

The Church

  • Composed of all believers in Jesus Christ, from the moment of Christ’s death, burial and resurrection and the outpouring of the Spirit at Pentecost. (Matt 16:18, Acts 20:28, Col 1:18, Rom 12:4-5)
  • Where the ministry of the Gospel and building of the Body of Christ takes place. (1 Cor 4:17)
  • God’s chosen vehicle by which He exercises authority and dominion on the earth, presenting His Gospel and instruction thereof. (1 Cor 12:28, 14:5)
    • Until the age of the Gentiles ends and the plan of God returns to the Jews. (Rom 11:25, Rev 7:4-10)
  • Having expectations of Biblical standards of behavior. (1 Cor 5:12, Matt 18:15-17, 1 Tim 5:19-20)
    • We as part of the Church will conform to God’s standards and expect all who serve in the ministry to submit to such standards or be subject to being dismissed for noncompliance. (2 Thes 3:14, Tit 3:10)
    • All who would serve in the ministry must profess faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and agree to the Statement of Faith, Purpose and Vision statements with a clear conscience. (2 Cor 6:14-15)
    • We will operate in accordance with church discipline as established in the Scriptures. (1 Tim 5:19, 2 Cor 13:1)
      • Permitting those who enter into disobedience to repent and be forgiven. (2 Cor 7:9-10)
      • Yet if they subsequently continue in disobedience they will be subject to dismissal. (1 Cor 5:11-13)
  • Through the church is the wisdom of God revealed. (Eph 3:10)

Hell

  • A place of eternal torment and separation from God (2 Thes 1:9, Matt 3:12, 25:46; Mark 9:44-49, Rev 14:10-11, Rev 20:10)
    • Reserved and created for Satan (Matt 25:41)
    • Those who deny Christ will also go into this fire. (Matt 25:41, Rev 20:15)

Heaven

  • A place of eternal joy and peace with God, enjoying His Presence forever. There will be no more suffering or darkness. (Rev 21:1-4, 22:3-5; Rom 8:18)
  • Where we have a place prepared for us by Christ. (John 14:1-4)

Spiritual Gifts

  • We believe in all of the spiritual gifts given by the Holy Spirit to be active and in operation today, just as is written in the Scriptures. (1 Cor 12:1-11, 14:1; Rom 12:6-8, Gal 3:5)
    • We believe in their blessed value and need as given of the Father in heaven for the ministry to the body of Christ and to the lost. (1 Cor 12:7, 14:1, 14:39)
  • We believe that God is still desiring to confirm the teaching of His Gospel and salvation through His Son Jesus Christ through miracles, signs and wonders, as He was in the early church, for the need today is ever as great. (Heb 13:8, Acts 4:29-30)
    • Lest anyone’s salvation rest upon words of wisdom rather than the power of God. (1 Cor 2:5)

Satan

  • There is a state of war and rebellion in creation. (Rom 12:7-9, 1 John 5:19)
  • There is an adversary, an enemy, and army set against man and enslaving him. (John 8:34, Heb 2:14-15)
  • That most do not see nor believe in it, but it does not change the fact that it is true. (2 Cor 4:4)
  • That the perceived freedom unsaved man believes he has is a lie, for no man is free and is subject to forces beyond his control, both seen and unseen, throughout his life. (Col 2:8, Psalm 51:5)

Judgment

  • Even as most do not see nor believe that God exists and is holy, nor that they will have to give an answer for their lives and their sins, but this does not change the fact that it is true! (2 Cor 5:10, Rom 14:11, Rom 1:18-20)
